Former USDA Under Secretary and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Joins Landus Board of Directors

Bill Northey appointed as outside director

AMES, IOWA (June 8, 2021) – The Landus Board of Directors has appointed Bill Northey to a one-year term as an outside director, eligible for renewal up to a maximum of three years. Northey most recently served as United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation. Prior to that, he was the Secretary of Agriculture for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.

Northey joins the elected 12-member Board of Directors of Landus farmer-owners. The role of an outside director is to act as an advisor and coach on business and industry issues of relevance to Landus.
