Getting to Know Landus: Nicole Meyer

GTKL Nicole Meyer Website

Whether it’s interacting with farmer-owners about their operation or keeping everybody at our Yetter location happy with a fully stocked candy drawer, customer service specialist, Nicole Meyer is the woman for the job.

An Iowa State University alum, Nicole earned a degree in Agricultural Studies with a minor in Animal Science before joining Farmers Cooperative Company (FC) full-time back in 2013. Prior to Landus being established, Nicole had a rich history with FC as both an intern and part-time employee throughout her college years.

Nicole thrives on the challenge that each workday brings. Between balancing scale traffic, answering questions on the phone or in person, and interacting with on-site contractors, she is always on her toes.

“There is no day the same, which is why I like this job.”

During her ten-year span with the company, Nicole has developed meaningful relationships with our farmers. This allows her to be more knowledgeable about their growing program, helping her to ultimately deliver the best and most efficient service possible. Fellow Yetter employees have grown to be quite fond of Nicole as well.

“I always say I had nine boys because, there for a while, they were calling me mom.”

When Nicole isn’t in the office, she stays plenty busy. Her and her father raise 150 ewes on their farm in Lytton, IA and regularly get visits from her two young nieces and nephew. She loves seeing them grow up around agriculture and learn from their sheep operation. Nicole is also an avid bicyclist and has an impressive RAGBRAI streak, having biked for the last six years.
