Our Landus GROW Rewards gold level reward members escaped the early Iowa winter to sunny Hollywood, Florida, to dive into a lot more than just the Atlantic. The Second Annual Landus GROW Rewards Farmer Conference was 3 days of networking, learning, and time for relaxing and having fun. Approximately 450 farmers, Landus employees, speakers, and sponsors descended upon Margaritaville for our conference December 12-15.
Guests arrived throughout Monday afternoon, and were greeted upon their arrival with a cocktail reception and dinner. The evening wrapped up with the Second Annual Awards Ceremony, where four farming operations in the categories of Advancing Data, Inspiring Innovation, Landus Leader, and Thriving Generations were honored.

In accordance with traditional Iowa farmer tendencies, Tuesday morning started with punctual 7:30am meetings featuring key speakers and panels that discussed:
- Soil health and fertilizer markets
- Conservation
- Sustainability
- Issues affecting our local communities
With business taken care of first thing in the morning, farmers and their families enjoyed leisure time ocean/pool side until evening celebrations kicked off Hawaiian style! Open-air dinner followed by karaoke singing and celebration concluded the first full day in Margaritaville.
Wednesday morning kicked off with another round of meetings and speakers who discussed:
- Consumer trends
- Food security
- The links in the food chain
This morning also hosted our highly anticipated consumer panel, which is always a fan favorite. Consumers from the Miami area were selected to join our stage and discuss their thoughts on agriculture, food purchasing trends, and farming practices.
After another relaxing afternoon soaking up 80 degrees-in-December weather, the evening agenda included dueling pianos (who were of course open for requests), a cocktail reception, and dinner.
