Eligible Fire/Rescue crews receive a $750 Core Grant from Landus Cooperative
AMES, Iowa (February 5, 2018) – Forty-one fire/rescue crews around the state were awarded $750 each from Landus Cooperative in January. Landus Cooperative awarded $30,750 as part of their annual donation to local fire and rescue crews in areas where they do business.

“Supporting fire and rescue crews is something Landus Cooperative takes pride in,” said Milan Kucerak, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “Many of our employees and farmer-members are part of these safety and emergency response crews. Fire and rescue crews play a crucial role in our rural communities and to the cooperative itself.”
The farmer-owned cooperative announced the Core Grant program at the beginning of last year as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. With this grant, 41 fire and rescue crews will be able to continue to update and improve their equipment and services to respond to emergencies in their community and surrounding areas.
