Landus Locations Mostly Spared from Derecho

Old Collins

Landus locations fared well compared to many in the path of this week's derecho.  Early assessments show that no location sustained damage which will impact harvest other than slower than usual receiving at Bondurant.  Yale, old Collins (shown in image above) and old Maxwell had damage to bins that have not been used for harvest receiving in several years.

In a video to employees Monday, President and CEO, Matt Carstens noted has he reached out to competitors to find out how the cooperative can assist.   Landus farmer-owners remain the cooperative's priority and the company will be mailing delivery set-up forms in the next few days to help our farmers be prepared. We encourage regular Landus customers to work with their location once they have an idea on their yield to help identify a delivery plan.

Landus will be doing a crop yield estimate in every township in our territory. Results will be shared on a webinar Sept. 2nd.  Register for that webinar here

The cooperative will also host pre-harvest conference calls for all regions impacted by the storm. Register to hear from your location manager here.
