Iowa High School Seniors Awarded for their Dedication to the Future of Agriculture

DES MOINES, Iowa (April 27, 2026)- Landus Cooperative is dedicated to supporting the future of agriculture by investing in five high school students pursuing degrees in either agriculture or life sciences this coming fall.
The Landus Cooperative Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship provides $2,000 to each of the students who receive the award. Students were selected based on their overall academic achievements, leadership and dedication to their rural communities.
“Each of the students selected have demonstrated a deep commitment to building on the strong agricultural roots of our state,” says Sarah Heineman, Director of Community Engagement at Landus Cooperative. “We’re proud to support them as they begin their academic journey and look forward to seeing their impact on our industry in the years to come.”
To be eligible for the Excellence in Ag Scholarship, recipients must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, plan to pursue a degree in either agriculture or life sciences, and the applicant or their guardian must be a voting member of the cooperative in good standing. These awards are part of Landus Cooperative’s ongoing commitment to championing rural communities. The scholarship program is just one of many ways Landus Cooperative partners with communities to ensure the future of agriculture remains strong and sustainable.
