Landus Appoints Todd Samuels as Chief Financial Officer

Former Chevron Renewable Energy Group Executive Brings More Than 20 Years of Financial Leadership Experience

DES MOINES, Iowa – November 18, 2025– Landus Cooperative today announced the appointment of Todd Samuels as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Kathleen Lyons, who has announced her retirement effective March 1, 2026.

Samuels joins Landus from Chevron Renewable Energy Group (CREG), where he led all financial activities including accounting, financial planning, risk management and carbon credit compliance, and treasury. Over more than two decades, Samuels has held senior leadership roles in accounting, risk management, and corporate finance, including positions as Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Chevron Renewable Energy Group, Assurance Manager at RSM McGladrey, and senior finance management roles at Deere & Company and Hawkeye Energy Holdings.

Samuels earned his B.A. in Accounting from Simpson College and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Lyons served Landus and its legacy cooperatives for over 27 years in a variety of finance roles before being named CFO in 2022. During her tenure, which included a period of significant growth and change for the Landus, she has been recognized for her steadfast leadership, professionalism, and integrity.
