Landus Innovation Connector Showcases AgTech for Farmers

IC Event Recap Website 1

Des Moines, Iowa (April 5, 2023) — Complete with a full-service appetizer-carrying robot, the Landus Innovation Connector in Des Moines hosted farmer-owners and their spouses/guests to engage with Landus partners, experts, and president & CEO, Matt Carstens for our fourth Innovation Connector Event series.

The Innovation Connector partners were given the opportunity to network directly with Landus farmer-owners who spent the evening soaking up the latest and greatest innovations in agriculture. From automated drones that clear rocks out of fields, to robotic grain bin de-jammers, and satellite imaging technology, guests learned how agriculture is burgeoning as a cutting-edge industry.

Over the course of five events with 700+ different farmer-owners and guests, each day kicked off with a few opening remarks from Landus chief of staff, Mary Bendickson.

Rotating through the recently expanded Landus Innovation Connector, guests interacted with partners and presenters who demonstrated new technologies and products in situations attendees have likely experienced themselves.

Evenings featured a catered dinner, guest speakers, and a keynote presentation from Matt Carstens. Beginning with some overview numbers from the annual report, Matt discussed major initiatives that will add innovation and value to the cooperative.

“Events like this make a difference in agriculture — they impact our communities.”

Matt Carstens, Landus President & CEO

To wind down the evening, guests were eligible for door prizes which included a pair of 1-carat diamond earrings, Solo Stoves, Elide Fire Extinguisher Balls provided by Nationwide, and Ray Ban sunglasses.

Thank you to all Landus farmer-owners who attended, and to our partners who made this event possible.
